1997 EV1 Traction Motor & Transaxle Gen1
EV1 copper wound 102kW
EV1 traction motors came in two versions. The Gen1 ('97),
pictured below, which used an external oil pump to
lubricate and cool the gear reduction drive and differential, was
copper wound; and, the Gen2 ('99) which used a simplified oil
bath system and was aluminum wound.
The collection has four (4) Gen1 motors and one
Impact development prototype motor.
