1999 EV1 Traction Motor & Transaxle

Gen2 EV1 aluminum wound 102kW


EV1 traction motors came in two versions.   The
Gen1 ('97) which used an external oil pump to lubricate and
cool the gear reduction drive and differential, as was copper wound; and,
the Gen2 ('99) which used

a simplified oil bath system and was aluminum wound.

The pictures below show a '99 Gen2 motor (AJ22002) for
documentation (the collection does not currently
have a Gen2 motor).

The collection holds four (4) Gen1 motors
and one Impact development
prototype motor.
